NADH is a naturally occurring Co-Enzyme (Co-Enzyme 1) found in all living cells. NADH is one of the most important Co-Enzymes involved in 3 stages of energy production. NADH is essential to burn carbohydrates, fats, and amino acids and produce energy.

Georgetown Medical Center Study of NADH A 12-week double blind, placebo-controlled study of twenty-three patients that met the CDC (Center for Disease Control) criteria for CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) was performed at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. This was the first study ever approved by the FDA of a nutritional supplement for medical treatment. In weeks one through four of the trial, patients received a placebo or a 10mg NADH. Weeks five through eight, patients received no treatment. On weeks nine through twelve, the patient’s treatment was reversed. Patients previously receiving the NADH were given the placebo and patients previously on the placebo were given the NADH. A medical history, physical exam, and laboratory testing were performed before and then again at weeks four, eight and twelve of the study. The study found NADH did not cause any adverse effects. The results showed that patient taking NADH were FOUR TIMES MORE LIKELY to show improvements compared to those taking placebos. Cognitive and Mental Functions NADH is used by cells to fuel the production of other important cellular products such as neurotransmitters. Supplementing the natural levels of NADH increases dopamine and adrenaline in the brain, which may improve depression and cognitive function. Also, NADH is a very potent antioxidant.
